StarTribune Breaking News: Pawlenty travels out of town on weekend.......Sometimes!!

"Most of my travels have been on the weekends, and I put in enough hours as governor to more than take care of my duties here," Pawlenty told reporters this week.

Pawlenty's spokesman, Brian McClung, expanded on those remarks Friday in a prepared statement, saying that Pawlenty was out of town for just eight weekdays so far this year.

"It's doubtful that most Minnesotans care if the governor is playing hockey, campaigning or watching his daughter's volleyball games on his own time on a Saturday or a Sunday," McClung said.

I congratulate the groundbreaking reporting here. I was shocked. I'm sure we will see House Majority Leader Sertich (DFL) open a hearing on this one to get to the bottom of it.
