I would like to let the manufacturing and technology companies in Minneapolis and St. Paul know that Todd County and Clarissa are open for businesses.
We will do what we can to help you expand your businesses through reduced taxation and regulation.
We have a great group of citizens that are educated and hard working. In fact, most of our work force get up at 5am to do their chores around the farm before heading off to their full time job. It is a work ethic I think you will find refreshing.
Land, Labor, and overall taxation would be much less than the Minneapolis and St. Paul. Plus we have a quality of life that is unmatched.
Property tax burdens are shifting away from homes

For the first time in 12 years, Minneapolis homeowners will shoulder a smaller share of the city's property tax burden next year.
St. Paul is following suit. There are signs that other parts of the state may be following in a foreclosure-induced dampening of home values.
This doesn't mean taxes for homeowners will drop. But it does mean that businesses will pay some of the taxes that homeowners otherwise would.
"That's a nice shift," said Minneapolis Assessor Patrick Todd.
